NEWSLETTER  PAGE

Welcome!

This is a new monthly newsletter provided by Purrfect Occassions DJs.  You are receiving this newsletter because you are either a client of ours, or a prospective client in our database.

MISSION  STATEMENT:  The purpose of this newsletter is NOT to solicit you as a client, but to provide you with helpful information that may impact your wedding day and the decisions you make.  Our Wedding Network members provide us with information to help you plan your wedding.

NEWS:  The US Postal Service will be increasing the postage rate for first-class mail, including postcards, as well as their other products too.  The rate increase on first-class letters will be an additional $.01 each.  This rate will be effective on May 12, 2008.

TIP:  First, assemble your entire invitation, including addressing the envelope.  Take the invitation to the Postal Service and have it weighed.  Postal rates are determined by weight, size and shape.  You will know exactly how much postage is to be placed on each envelope.  Second, the return envelope or RSVP, will need a stamp.  Most couples use a specific "Love" stamp on the invitation, the RSVP and the Thank-You envelopes can use a standard stamp.  We suggest buying the "FOREVER" stamp for these.  WHY?  Simple, the forever stamp is good forever, even when there is an increase in postage.  Buy your FOREVER stamps prior to May 12th.  This way, your pieces will get delivered without any Postage Due notices by the USPS.

While 1 cent doesn't sound like much, one cent for 200 invitations and 200 thank-you's will total $4.  Of course, this wouldn't impact your budget by much, but the inconvenience of the "Postage Due" notice from the Postal Service can be aggravating.
